Bwala Africa is a Nairobi based logistics market place that allows its users to hire cars, trucks and delivery vans. It sources for repairs, service and maintenance of the same.
Bwala solves challenges facing fleet owners on a daily basis. It has recorded over 6,000 plus deliveries in Nairobi, serving debt financing from a South African-based bank, CFC Stanbic to meet the rising demand for the last mile fleet connectivity.
In its quest to grow, Bwala is rolling out eight new trucks from Isuzu East Africa, with KES 24 million financing. Four of the trucks will be financed by the bank, CFC Stanbic. It has also landed three major partnerships with Kenya’s top retail stores, namely:- Copia, Naivas and Jumia. These stores are by far the biggest retail and e-commerce brands in Kenya.
Did you know that Bwala is the first logistics platform a marketplace where logistics providers can meet mechanics, buy spares and insurance. Bwala has been around for nine months and believe me the challenges have been there but that does not hinder them from growing and scaling above greater heights. Signing up of truckers has not been easy, as it proved to be a difficult affair, therefore needing a lot of patience.
Most parts of Nairobi have been covered and they are thinking of moving across to other parts of the country. Bwala is also looking to venture out to other parts of the African continent:- Uganda, Zambia, Ghana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, as well as Bangladesh, Asia, India and the Philippines.
There is a rising demand for motor bikes because of their high speed and efficiency,so that has also been integrated.
Wondering about payments? Those can be done through BwalaPay, which is the escrow system. They also allow a customer to pay via cash on delivery, which allows the seller to either get cash when the item is sold or package is returned if it is not sold. The Bwalapay will be extended to classifieds and other online business entities who are dealing with skeptical customers who are not sure if they will lose money to online fraud.
The firm is also working closely with distributors, manufacturers and retailers to ensure more returns to its truckers.
Bwala is fast growing and it is working to ensure you get good use of your money. Bwala seeks to build client trust. They aim to support growth as they company work together with client, to ensure client dreams dreams come true.
