When I heard about Redsan launching his fifth album, my heart almost stopped. Wait. It actually did. I was wondering where this king if dancehall went to. I mean he has been releasing singles and all but to see him coming with a bang was actually a bang for me.
Before I even get to the album launch and all that if you haven’t listened to Redsan’s music then you my friend have not lived. Redsan is a favourite among many young people. As I am writing this article, songs like “who’s the chicken now”, “shoulder back”, ” yule pale”, “wanipa raha” are popping into mind. Redsan has been in the music industry for to decades now and he is doing great things in the music industry. Now let’s get back to the album launch.
The name of his album is THE BADDEST. He is launching it on 15th September at the Carnivore grounds. It will feature Jamaican Dancehall artist, Demarco. At the launch there will also be special performances by Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage and Kenyan hip hop giant Khaligraph Jones.
Tickets are already available and you can get them on https://bit.ly/2LqVaYo.
When Redsan picked Demarco it was an easy choice for him because they have been long time friends. Demarco is also an artist he has collaborated with on his new album. He also picked Tiwa Savage because he admires her work in the Afro Beats scene. Picking Khaligraph Jones too wasn’t too hard because Redsan and him share the same vision of taking Kenyan music to the world. Redsan has had that vision since he started singing almost twenty four years ago.
Redsan has commanded massive crowds, connecting with diverse audiences. For the number of years he has been in the music industry he has really dominated the music scene. During the concert he will perform some of his greatest hits of all time and also some tracks from the new album.
The Baddest album is Redsan’s fifth and it will have seventeen tracks and will include collaborations with acts such as Demarco and Naila, formerly of Brick and Lace), Kenyan songstress Yvonne Darc, Tanzanian fast rising artist Ervix and Ugandan heavy weight Jose Chameleon.
